One Vision, One Future – Dubai Expo 2020

Dubai, a city state, one of the seven emirates, has become, on a global scale a “city of tomorrow”. A city that has become one of the must visit destinations, worldwide, with serious infrastructure that started to develop less than 50 years ago.

It constitutes the federation of the United Arab Emirates, which was created following independence from Great Britain, in 1971.

A lot has changed since last century for Dubai, and it has found itself to be a century topic once again, organizing one of the biggest events that draws multiple types of industries and people – Dubai Expo 2020.

If you are not familiar with this event, or you were casually browsing the web and happened to stumble upon it with a quizzical mind, allow us to elaborate on what in fact is Dubai Expo 2020.

Before digging in on Dubai Expo, let’s take a step back and answer what are World Expos, and what is their purpose? Through out years, World Expos, or International Registered Exhibitions (how they are also known as), have been global events where nations gather in order to show-case groundbreaking inventions and brilliant innovations. The first World Expo took place in London in 1851, seeing the birth of London’s iconic Crystal Palace, designed by one of Britain’s most respected architects Sir Joseph Paxton. Since then, World Expos have been considered as a major and one of a “must visit” events, and were touring all over the world – UK, USA, Germany, Spain even Haiti.

Dubai Expo will be located between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and will host over 191 nations, and for the first time in history, every country will have its own pavilion. Also, the whole experience will be divided into themed weeks such as Climate & Biodiversity, Space, Tolerance & Inclusivity, to name a few. Apart from themed events, you will be able to explore and listen to multiple presentations regarding futuristic technologies, innovations, inventions, admire fantastic works of some of the world’s most creative artists and architects that the world has to offer, as well as embark on serious journeys to learn how you can improve and grow your business.

This World Expo will take place starting from 1st of October 2021 and last till 31st of March 2022. Due to Covid, the projected number of visitors (25 million over the period of six months, as projected by the organizers), may change that projection as the numbers will certainly vary from one day to the next.

But what is important is that the event will take place, and the visitors will be able to enjoy themselves and be overwhelmed by over 200 odd buildings and architectures. And the last, but not the least thing that needs to be said is that during this time, visitors would need to take a chance and explore all the other marvelous things that Dubai, the ‘city of tomorrow’ has to offer.
