What are the different types of packing materials used by KIM?

Based on each customer’s move and requirements the following are used:

What are the steps involved in starting a Relocation Process?

Starting the Relocation process is as simple as getting in touch with us through phone or email. We will gather all the relevant information and arrange for a physical or virtual survey. We then provide you with a free quote. Once you approve the quote, we set a date for packing and our Operations teams takes over in planning and executing the move.

What are the different modes of payment accepted?

We prefer bank or online transfers; however, we do accept cash depending on the location.

What sort of Transit Protection is available for my belongings?

KIM provides Transit Insurance to your cargo while it is in our care, custody and control, both during transit and storage. We work with IAM approved marine cargo insurers and our consultants will be happy to discuss this in detail with you.

Can I delay my delivery date once goods are shipped?

Yes absolutely. All you need to do is inform your Move Co-Ordinator about the change of plans and we can have the goods go to a storage facility while you sort everything out.

How many days prior to Move Date should I contact KIM?

Ideally, we would prefer a week to start planning your move and have all permits in place. A minimum of 3 days would work as well and we would make it happen for you.

How are materials packed for relocation?

Packing is a detailed step-by-step process at KIM. Our experts first take note of all the materials that need to be packed, sorts them according to their category and then starts the packing process using international quality packing materials. Valuable and fragile materials are protected using bubble wrap, shrink wrap, foam, corrugated sheets, padded timber, air bags, Polyester straps etc before putting them into wooden crates. We also use a wide range of other cushioning materials so that the cargo will stay intact and safe against shock, vibration, abrasion, corrosion and electrostatic discharge while in transit or storage.

Which locations does KIM service?

KIM provides services to any location in the world. We have our own offices in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and India and can assist with moving services globally. We work with established and thoroughly vetted partners who are fully versed with all aspects of moving heavy cargo.

How is the sorting of packaged goods done?

KIM follows proper labeling processes to identify different packages based on what’s inside. Colour codes are used to identify the types of goods based on rooms packed from and types of materials inside each box. A detailed sheet will be provided to the client during the time of relocation to make unpacking or searching for things easier.

What kinds of heavy goods can KIM move for me?
